Exams were round the corner and I had a crucial decision to make – accept the job offers that I got through campus interviews or search for a job of my own interest. Being a part of the 1 million engineering graduates that India annually produces, I knew to find the perfect job was not going to be a cakewalk. In spite of that, I was determined to find a job in a security-based company because I was passionate about the field of cybersecurity as I knew it was and still is one of the most challenging fields in computer science.

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet

Six months had gone by and I was still sitting at home with a bunch of offer letters for a variety of roles but none of them was what I really wanted. Just when I started to lose hope, I bumped into a company called “SecPod Technologies” on LinkedIn. I installed the trial version of their product, SanerNow, and was very impressed by the way they had developed it to help customers secure their endpoints and practice cyber hygiene.

There were no job vacancies at that time but I sent an email to the HR anyway. To my surprise, I got a call the very next day and my interview was scheduled. And guess what? I made it. By then, I had already attended many other interviews, but this was the only place where I felt my heart saying, “THIS IS IT!”

Culture makes us who we are

SecPod is an eleven-year-old company which has retained start-up culture and prefers to keep it that way even in the future. My first day at work was a delightful experience. The entire SecPod team gave me a warm welcome in the typical SecPod style which is always fun and interesting for a new joinee. It’s been 5 months since I started working here and within the first week itself, I felt like I was working with family. When I am asked about what job I hold, I always tell people I work with the SecPod family.

At SecPod, every day is a chance to learn something new. I explore the interesting and challenging at the intersection of security, technology, and humans. We have a resilient bunch of secpod-ians who never give up on anything. We strive to bring out the best in everything we do and deliver the best to our customers. SecPod is also a place where you are not restricted to one role. Although I currently work as a QA Engineer, I can always walk up to anyone from a different team and work with them. This way I get to work outside my job description which presents endless opportunities for learning and growth. One of the best things about working here is that the founders and employees work together. There’s no middle management, thus I get to learn from the best.

Innovation is constant

If SecPod wasn’t innovative, it wouldn’t have lasted for the past eleven years in this rapidly evolving IT industry. It’s astonishing to see how a small idea which no one believed in, turned out to be an amazing endpoint security platform. Now, the Saner platform helps customers to proactively secure their endpoints. At SecPod, we have the liberty to explore any technology and if we find it innovative, we can approach the team to develop and integrate it with our product.

Starting my career with the SecPod family is one of the best decisions I have ever made and I’m glad to be part of this amazing journey.

Everything You Need to Know About AI-Assisted Cyberattacks and How to Stop Them

AI has removed the skill barrier that used to keep amateurs out of serious cybercrime, letting first-time attackers pull off major breaches using chatbots and agentic AI tools. The blog covers the main attack types (AI phishing, deepfakes, AI-generated malware, agentic extortion) with 2025-2026 data, and argues that defense now depends on patching by actual exposure, not static severity scores, across both endpoints and cloud.
